We wanted to say a few words about the hate crime that happened Saturday night to Kevin Avaince.
It is unfathomable that in this day and age in New York City's East Village this kind of thing is still happening. Something has to be done! We have to put pressure on a gay rights group to in turn put pressure on the mayor to make a statement how the city will not accept such hate crimes. It really is terrible that it takes it happening to someone visible for it to make the news; but, maybe this is what we need to make us do something so we can make it STOP! Gay pride in NYC is two weeks away. It's an important time! So if any of you readers work for a gay right's group and know of a way we can put pressure on the mayor to make a statement, please email us and we wil post the suggestion! Maybe it will take a bunch of people writing in demanding something be done. WHATEVER IT IS, WE WANT IT DONE! NOW!
