(NEW YORK) Ugly Betty's production move to New York has two happy beneficiaries: Joe Zee and Becki Newton, now certified fashion soul mates. "I met Joe during the filming of our finale last season, and we instantly connected," Newton told The Daily. "He impressed me because he took his role very seriously. He ad-libbed his lines and we wound up using his genius in the final takes. So naturally I was ecstatic to move to New York and be part of Joe's world."

Zee was similarly wowed. We hear that since moving to the city, Newton's become a very frequent visitor at the Elle offices, perhaps to do some role research or inspire her new buddy. Just yesterday, she paid a visit to the magazine's 44th floor fashion closet as Zee styled her for Wednesday's appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly. She'll serve as a co-host--and we bet a certain creative director will be watching closely.
