Night of the Living Dead

The Met Costume Institute Gala, AKA as "Anna's Party," was honoring the Poiret: King of Fashion exhibit at the Met

Isabella Rossellini's daughter thinks she's a modela...

....while Chloe Sevigny thought it was St. Patricks day up in there!

Do you think her husband realizes what a dweeb she is?

Cuz lord knows she realizes how hot HE is!

Live for Miss Connely, but not for those SHOES! Shoes, let's get some shoes.
The shoes are actually great, just not with this dress-um.

Alan Thicke's sone has GOT to be a homo.

It's nice to see that Hillary has found a new man

Honey, there's something in your hair!

Speaking of thangs in the hair, what's with the spider web in J. Lo's?

ZOMBIE CHIC IS THE NEW SMOKEY EYE!

Apparently the theme of this years ball was Night of the Living Dead...

...cuz e-ree-body looks like a Zombie!

Like mother like daughter. Ivanka and her updo. So body waxer chic.

Love the grey tux, hate the failed attempt at the middle part.

Big bird called, he wants his LBC (little black dress) back.

Between Dylan Lauren...

David LAUREN and LAUREN Bush (who btw if they marry she'll be LAUREN LAUREN)

and Greg LAUREN, maybe it should have been NIGHT OF THE LIVING LAURENS instead.

VOLUME doesn't ALWAYS work.

GORGINA dress. Why not just wear it with white gold and diamonds?

Nothing like...

a sug-ah daddie!

GOD?

And now for some fashion advice for Matt in Portland (GOOL luh-huvs Portland boyz):

GOOL -

First, let me say I LOVE the blog! You have many fans out here in Portland, OR!

Second, I am facing a dilema that I though you may be able to help with. I have a bunch of black tie events - the first one is this Saturday - and I need to buy a tux. I want something, classic and modern... but when faced with peak or notch lapels; one, two or three buttons I am clueless - what is the sartorially correct choice?

Any suggestions on brands/stores to check out that won't completely break the bank and the style I should shoot for?

Thanks!

Matt

DEAR MATT, We here at GOOL are facing the SAME problem and have been for years. We keep putting off buying a tux-a-do. The best option of course is made-to-measure. Ralph Lauren has a great portion if you have a RL store out there in P-Land. We suggest a one or two button. Steer clear of three! Try also Z Zegna, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein. GOOL loves a good double vent action in the back and also watch the fabric you choose. You don't want to scrimp on fabric. Some fabrics can look cheap and then you might as well just rent.

THANKS FOR WRITING

THAT'S ALL!
